This site contains senior level work from my students at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The Fall project requires the students to write a short autobiographical essay. This is the content that they work with for the entire semester. In the Spring project the students work with an appropriated text, but must submit a written proposal in support of their project. They also must present their proposal verbally to a review panel.
I work with a professor from the First Year Writing Program at the University to help guide the written components of both projects.

Here is the PDF for a Graphic Design project I developed that incorporates writing and reaction into the design process. The project asks students to react to an everyday use of technology (good or bad), write about it, then re-design such objects in light of critical analysis.
